Trip map created with Wanderlog.
As a parent of three, I can't stress enough the importance of getting out for physical movement, socialization (for the parent, child, or both), and a good dose of the outdoors in all its glory. While parks and playgrounds are not the only option for outdoor fun, they were one of the main forms of entertainment for my littles in their younger toddler years.
At this stage of life, they have this energy and natural curiosities of exploring and running & climbing around all over the place. Parks & playgrounds are the perfect places for kids to play, learn, and grow.
Below are some of my favorite parks I think check all the boxes and double up and entertainment for adults. These are the parks in Reno & the surrounding areas that offer stunning views, creeks, shade, grass to roll around in, adventure trails, water fountains, and so much more.
I hope you (and your family) enjoy them as much as mine does.
